✔ Prioritize Public Safety

Public safety is a core campaign issue of mine. Rocklin is just now returning to the staffing levels at the police and fire departments that we had prior to the Great Recession. In that time period, our city has grown immensely with thousands of new homes built and many new businesses. In other words, we should have more fire fighters and police officers assisting residents and businesses – particularly since the state is releasing criminals early from prison. When I am elected, I will work with the community and police and fire departments to ensure proper staffing levels to properly protect residents and save lives.

Fiscal Transparency and Open Government

Protect the proper use of your tax dollars and provide transparency of city expenditures to residents to increase government accountability. In addition, Rocklin should live stream City Council meetings. For a nominal cost, we can engage more residents in the city process and provide them with the opportunity to watch city council meetings from the comfort of their home. I also pledge to make my city meeting calendar and emails accessible for inspection so you know what I am doing on your behalf.

✔ Hold Town Halls, Bring Government to the People

As an elected official, I will work for you and pledge to communicate directly with residents openly and honestly.  I will hold several town halls with residents and businesses to ensure government services are aligned with the needs of our community.

✔ Support School System

Keep our schools top-quality by working with School Board members to ensure a cohesive relationship. We can, and will, improve Before and After School programs and enter into a much stronger partnership with our school district. Thousands of residents move to Rocklin specifically for the schools. While council members don’t govern schools directly, it is important we do our best as a city to support our excellent school system.

Support Local Businesses

Incentivize businesses to move to Rocklin which will create more local jobs and help generate funds for public services like parks, roads and schools.
